2010 Summer Study in Spain Program
General Agreement
I understand and agree that the Program fee of $ 4,950.00 (Itinerary through Andalusia) covers the following:
- Round-trip airfare to Spain from New York with the following dates: June 24th to July 27th. 2010
All ground transportation while in Spain. While in Spain: 3 week Intensive language study at Colegio Delibes (Salamanca) including all books and materials; 21 nights lodging (double room), full board with host family; one overnight trip to the northern coast of Spain. While touring Spain: 7 nights hotel lodging (double occupancy); breakfast and dinner daily; all designated museum and monument entrance fees. I understand that the Program directors reserve the right to make reasonable changes in the Program and in Program costs without liability for refund.
I understand and agree that the Program fee does not include: all incidental expenses, including food and beverages not described above; lunch while touring Spain; optional field trips or museum visits; all entertainment expenses while in Spain and any other items not specified as included.
I understand and agree to the drug and alcohol policy and I am in
agreement with its provisions. I understand that the Program directors
and Chaperones of A Different Spain reserve the right to send a student
home at the parent's expense if this policy is violated by the student.
I understand that any injury to any student connected in any way to that
student's alcohol or drug consumption is entirely the responsibility of
that student and I will not hold the Program directors or chaperones
liable for any such occurrence.
If the Program directors deem the student to be otherwise unsuitable for
a tour, they may at their discretion cancel such student's booking or
return the student home at the parent's expense.
I understand and agree that students are not permitted to travel outside city boundaries unless prior consent is given by Program directors. Students will travel only in public transportation or by transportation provided by the Program directors while in Spain. Students are not permitted to travel in any private vehicle except if offered by the parents of the host family.
I understand and agree that students must obey all curfews set by the Program directors.
I understand and agree that early departure for medical or other reasons may incur expenses not included in the Program fee. Partial refunds may be given at the discretion of the Program directors.
I hereby waive and release the Program directors, chaperones, host family, host school agents and officials, including any person or entity employed or utilized by the Program directors or host school in Spain, from all claims not caused by their gross negligence, or arising from any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or expense resulting from events beyond their control, including without limitation, acts of God, war, strikes, incidents of politically-motivated violence, sickness or quarantine, government restrictions or regulations. I agree that the Program directors are not liable for injury caused to any student not arising from the directors' own gross negligence, and that there will be considerable time during each day when the directors will not be personally supervising students' activities and well-being. Any injury occurring during these hours are entirely the responsibility of the student.
I will indemnify the Program directors and hold them harmless from any financial liability or obligations which the student may personally incur, or injury or damage to the person or property of others which the student causes or contributes to, while participating in the Program.
